Neighborhood Community - We Furnish The Ingredients

Safe Fun - Kids cavorting on Twin Cedars Park.

A feeling of community - that sense we gather from association with others, sharing things in common, friendships and banding together for the common good is an intangible thing, but very real nonetheless. This "sense of community" arises from people and their relationships. Maxwell Springs will foster "community" by crafting a neighborhood place bound together by structures that invite casual and spontaneous interaction among its residents. This will be a neighborhood where friendships last a lifetime, folks look out for one another, and kids grow up to call Maxwell Springs their hometown.

Since neighbors create the feeling of community, we will furnish the key ingredients as the catalysts. Some ingredients designed for inclusion are wide, safe sidewalks and nature trails, parks and playgrounds, a community recreation and learning center with pool, an architectural emphasis on front porches-- the outdoor room-- plus a neighborhood newsletter, and planned activities. The Maxwell Springs master plan also includes a future Town Center with neighborhood shops, services, café, and offices.
